Abstract CAI Yuanpei's thoughts on teachers' ethics offers great reference for the construction of college teachers' ethics. Cai Yuanpei's philosophy of teacher ethics, rooted in Confucian thought and enriched by Western humanistic ideals, is grounded in his holistic education concept of' fivefold cultivation(moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education). Its core tenets include: pursuing lofty ideals while embracing simplicity; pursuing knowledge with diligence; cultivating virtue through perseverance; maintaining self-discipline with kindness; and discerning right from wrong through self-reflection. This perspective offers crucial guidance for contemporary university ethics development: by inspiring teachers to embrace noble ideals, commit to lifelong learning, and refine their character, while simultaneously cultivate the students' good habits of diligence and frugality, work ethic, and aesthetic sensibility, we can ultimately fulfill the fundamental mission of moral education.
