Abstract To advance the precision and scale of teaching quality, it is essential to conduct research on teaching reform that integrates artificial intelligence into conventional science and engineering courses. Current research predominantly focuses on general theories or easily visualized courses, while specialized courses with weaker connections to computer technology still face challenges in integration. To fill the gap, using Polymer Physics as an example, this study explores a framework for AI-empowered, intelligent reform of science and engineering courses from three dimensions: multimedia-enhanced and information-based teaching, virtual simulation-augmented experimentation, and the development of smart classrooms, with the objective of informing pedagogical innovation in related specialties.
