Abstract Vocational college counselors should strengthen the analysis and practice of the new requirements of employment service guidance in the context of new engineering, and implement multi-faceted guidance measures in the current employment environment of graduates. However, in the process of service guidance, there are problems such as lack of experience, lack of precision, insufficient depth and low quality. In order to solve the problem, counselors should improve their professional quality, enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of employment guidance, carry out personalized employment guidance services, and build a scientific evaluation mechanism to help graduates achieve their career aspirations.
