Abstract In the context of showcasing Chinese stories effectively, the quality of film dialogue translation exerts a direct impact on cultural dissemination. Taking the dialogue translation of the film “Ne Zha 2” as a case, this paper compares the differences between AI translation and human translation, reveals the significant advantages of the latter in dealing with characteristic culture-loaded words, and further demonstrates the necessity of establishing a human-machine collaborative translation model. It sorts out the advantages and limitations of AI translation, analyzes the translation examples of lines in the film that are rich in traditional cultural elements, complex emotional expressions and unique language styles, puts forward the human-machine collaborative translation path, provides theoretical reference for the field of film translation, and highlights the importance of the integration of technological empowerment and human wisdom.
